SERVICES

TELEMEDICINE

If you have a simple problem like a sinus infection or you are looking for some medical advice, a video or phone visit with a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician may be all you need. If the problem is simple such as a cold or earache, the doctor may simply provide education and a prescription as needed. For injuries such as ankle sprains or cuts, the doctor may recommend an in-person consultation. If the problem is potentially serious such as chest pain or severe headache, the doctor may provide triage advice such as going to the ER, and will work with you to facilitate your transfer

PROCEDURES

With experience practicing medicine in the ER and in the field, Dr. Steencken is able to perform many simple procedures at your home or work. Or, if you prefer, we can schedule a meeting in-office that is convenient for you. Available procedures include tick and other superficial foreign body removal, stitches/staples for cuts, drainage of abscess, splinting and other non-emergent musculoskeletal complaints, etc.

TESTING AND REFERRAL

When necessary, the doctor can order tests such as x-rays, blood tests, and nasal or throat swabs. Specimens may be collected during an in-person visit if supplies are available. Otherwise you will be referred to a local lab.

Specialist referrals are available as well.
